Laura Martínez Boj, soprano specialized in early music and historically informed interpretation. She has been praised by the critics for her voice “of brilliant timbre, agile in the melismas, delicate pianos and exquisite taste”. (Núvol)
Her career as a soloist is linked to groups of great recognition as La Grande Chapelle (Albert Recasens) and Accademia d’Arcadia (Alessandra Rossi), La Chimera, (Eduardo Egüez) with whom, in addition to various live performances, has made the record productions “Antonio Soler: vocal work” and Celesti fiori, respectively. She is also a soloist with the Gioia Cantar choir of Montreaux, Switzerland, since 2014 and a chorus singer in Barcelona Ars Nova, the Cor de Cambra Francesc Valls since 2017 and the Cor Cererols with whom he has produced Cum Silentio in 2019.
She collaborates with other ensembles such as, Ensemble Voz Latina (Cremona, Italy), Laberintos ingeniosos, Íliber ensemble, Antigua Capilla de Murcia and emerging ensembles such as Solazzo Ensemble, or Dolce Rima. She also participates in projects by renowned musicians such as Xavier Díaz, Pedro Memelsdorff, Eduardo López Banzo, Emilio Moreno, Josep Vila i Casañas, Mónica Pustilnik and Mara Galassi.
She has also participated in national and international festivals such as Stockholm Early Music Festival (Estocolmo, Suecia), Uffizi live (Galería Uffizi, Florencia), el Festival cusiano di Musica antica (Lago d’Orta), Festival de Torroella (Cataluña), Trame sonore Mantova chamber music festival (Mantova), el Festival Internazionale di cultura e musica antica (Chivasso), FEMAUB (Úbeda y Baeza) o el Festival de Música Antigua de Peñíscola, Innsbruck Festival of Early Music (Viena), among others.
Her presentations in halls and spaces such as L’Auditori, the Sagrada Familia Basilica, the Frederic Marès Museum, Casa Milà -La Pedrera-, or the general program Assaig of Radio Clásica, show her presence in the cultural scene of reference in Barcelona. Similarly, she has extended her career by performing in prestigious institutions such as the Auditorium of the European Parliament, the Museo Internazionale e Biblioteca della musica di Bologna or the Cervantes Institute in Brussels.
She is a graduate of the Màster Universitari en Musicologia, Educació Musical i Interpretació de la Música Antiga (ESMUC – UAB) under the supervision of Marta Almajano, and was awarded a scholarship in 2017 by the Fondatione Cini (Venice) to carry out the Roman de Fauvel seminar with professor Benjamin Bagby.
